Job Description

As a Freelance UX Designer, you will work on strategic and design projects with the Somia team.

  • Participate in brainstorming and innovation workshops to define strategic design direction
  • Help to define UI design framework and design system
  • Develop detailed designs, such as sketches, style guides, User Interface (UI) designs, storyboards, etc.
  • Create interactive prototypes to support the iterative design process, communicate design intent, and test with users.
  • Work closely with our designers & researchers to observe user research as part of the design process to ensure the design solutions are user-friendly, enjoyable, and meaningful.

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong portfolio of UI Design work, either from individual explorations or freelance projects.
  • Creative, with lots of wild and crazy ideas to improve user experiences through design.
  • Love to experiment with visual elements, different styles, and micro-animation to bring liveliness to the interaction
  • Have meticulous attention to detail and pixel perfection
  • Eager to explore new things and have natural curiosity. Stay up to date with latest design and technology trends.
  • Have strong self initiatives, can work independently, and take ownership of the work. Team player, have a high collaboration spirit.
  • Familiar with design and prototyping tools, such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suites
